Since 2016, the Alabama Small Business Awards have been presented annually by The Partnership of Alabama Chambers and the Business Council of Alabama, recognizing the very best in Alabama small business.
Nominations for the Alabama Small Business Awards open May 4, 2026 and will close August 14, 2026. Winners will be announced at the BCA/CCAA Partnership Annual Meeting on November 18, 2026, at The Club in Birmingham.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
Emerging Business (In operation less than 5 years with 100 or fewer employees)
1-10 Employees
11-50 Employees
51-100 Employees
Nominations are based on the following:
500 word max in each of the following categories. Be specific and include as much information as possible.
Leadership and community support
Chamber Involvement
Business Success
Overall deservedness
Rules & Criteria:
- Nominations must be received from a local chamber that is a member of Alabama Chambers.
- A chamber may only submit one business per category.
- A business may only be submitted for consideration in one category.
- Previous finalists are eligible to be renominated.
- Previous Gold winners are not eligible for nomination for 5 years.
- Emerging Business is a new business that has 100 or fewer employees. New ownership does not constitute new business.
- Employee counts are for a specific franchise, branch or office ONLY. The location being nominated must be included. (example: River Bank & Trust- Wetumpka branch; Chik-fil-A of Sylacauga, etc)
- 2 part time employees = 1 full time employee
