We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as the Director of Membership. This is a critical role focused on building relationships with members, enhancing member engagement, and driving the Chamber’s mission to support local businesses.
Position Overview
The Director of Membership is responsible for the recruitment, retention, and satisfaction of Chamber members. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to implement strategies that promote growth and member involvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Membership Recruitment & Retention: Develop and implement strategies to grow membership and maintain strong relationships with existing members.
  • Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for members, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other Chamber departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track membership metrics and provide regular reports to the Chamber leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, or membership organizations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with the Cullman area business community is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 annually, based on education and experience.
