The Gardendale Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and community engagement in support of the Chamber’s mission to promote economic growth and business development throughout the Gardendale area.

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and reports directly to the Board of Directors. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of Chamber operations, program development, member relations, and public representation of the Chamber within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and manage programs that support business and community development.

Oversee Chamber operations, finances, and staff or volunteers as applicable.

Develop and maintain relationships with members, local government, and community partners.

Plan and execute Chamber events, networking opportunities, and promotional initiatives.

Lead membership recruitment and retention strategies.

Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish and execute strategic goals and objectives.

Manage communications, including social media, newsletters, and public statements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business, nonprofit management, economic development, or a related leadership role.

Strong organizational, financial management, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with event planning, community outreach, and member engagement preferred.
