Madison Chamber of Commerce is hiring a Marketing & Event Specialist
General Summary: This person will assist with the development & design of all internal and external marketing & communications efforts, including but not limited to press releases, newsletter creation, copyrighting, graphic design, social media strategy & implementation and more. In addition to marketing efforts, the Marketing & Event Specialist will also support and assist with all event planning, setup, and coordination efforts
Duties and Responsibilities for Marketing and Events Specialist Position
- Assist with developing and implementing all marketing activities for the Chamber.
- Assist with Implementation of the communication calendar and digital strategy.
- Assist with the design and printing of materials for events and programs as needed.
- Assist with developing and maintaining a progressive marketing plan with measurable goals for all Chamber programs, activities, and events.
- Create content for and oversee all social media platforms.
- Oversee and manage website, ensuring effective, creative execution
- Develop content for all Chamber publications/email newsletters.
- Consistently ensure communications stay within brand guidelines.
- Write press releases and marketing copy as needed.
- Create graphics for social media; design eye-catching, readable banners for events; design layouts for flyers; and create and market using established branding.
- Perform video editing services.
- Assist with the planning and execution of all Chamber events (including nights and weekend events).
- Assist with negotiates pricing and locations for events to include facilities, catering, and entertainment.
- Assist with coordination of speakers, event locations, and registration for all events.
- Communicate post-event surveys and create reports.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
